Only two days left till Christmas, and still so much to do - baking, cooking, cleaning, decorating and, of course, last-minute Christmas shopping. So here is an idea for those who are still desperately looking for a cute and fun gift for someone - the winter accessories line by KappAhl. They're not only pretty, but also perfect for the long and cold winter which has been ruling in Europe for over a month now. Here are my favourite pieces from the collection, and you can find more here.

And today an idea for a small but cute gift for someone - eye-catching, original and funky key rings from Accessorize. I think their only downside is that they're small, and I do realize that some women (me included...) need really big key rings so that the keys are easier to find in a bag ;-) But for a small handbag, these are perfect:-)
Well, I'm pretty sure the picture above speaks for itself, so I'll just say - yes, it's a bag; yes, it's Christmas-y and yes, it's pretty original, funny and cute in a funky way - so obviously I just had to put it on my blog. Another creation by Fuzzy Nation - and a way to make jaws drop if you take one of these for a winter walk ;-)
Yes, it really is a handbag The autumn weather outside the window is at its very worst, with constant rain, strong winds and heavy clouds, and I can sense the autumn depression just around the corner. Now, I’m not sure what guys do in a situation like this, but I do know what helps us, women, to fight the autumn blues – a healthy dose of retail therapy, of course ;-) So today I want to show you a truly unique – in a (completely) crazy and funky way – line of bags, which are guaranteed to have a jaw-dropping (and I mean it literally) effect on everyone around – the bags by Fuzzy Nation. This American brand is very, very crazy about dogs, which I think you can guess easily by looking at the photos below. And in case you’re wondering – yes, these are really handbags, not plush toys…I guess if you go to a restaurant with a bag like this, you need an extra seat just for it, and when your cuddly pooch starts to ring with your mobile’s ringtone, you’re guaranteed to get everyone’s attention ;-) 'I'm in Vegas' shoe by Irregular Choice Do you consider yourself as bold, when it comes to fashion? Do you have what it takes to go out there and wear things that will distinguish you from the crowd? If the answer is yes, then you are ready to face the ultimate test – do you have enough courage to wear shoes by Irregular Choice? These are by far the most funky, crazy and outrageous shoes I’ve come across so far, and their new collection is a real dare. I love looking at them, but I’m not sure if I’d be willing to wear them – or if my feet would survive it. Still, I could probably find a pair for which I’d be more than happy to make a sacrifice – e.g. for the shoe on the photo to the left, with the gold-cat buckle, called “ I’m in Vegas.” ;-) And what about you? Personally, I'm far too practical to be a fan of huge rings - they stick out far too much and they just don't look good on my fingers. But that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate them when I come across a really fun and original one - like the one with an owl on the photo to the right. It seems that the owls as a motif are here to stay for good ;-) So I took a look at the Accessorize's website, and sure enough, they have an entire range of fun rings; they're all really big and really flashy, but if you have the right kind of fingers to pull off that look, then why not? Here are a few I liked most: Remember the cute scarves from last week? I think I forgot to mention that they come in sets with equally cute, colourful and eye-catching gloves :-)
I have to admit, I never liked wearing gloves when I was a kid – actually, I loathed it - and I kept loosing them constantly, but I think that’s because there was no Accessorize available back then ;-) So if you want to turn wearing gloves into pleasure which defies hostile low temperatures, I recommend these! I’m always on the lookout for fun T-shirts, either with funny sayings printed on them or other eye-catching prints. While extremely popular in countries such as UK or USA, it’s not that easy to find one here – maybe because the English language is perfect for creating short and ingenious pieces of “T-shirt wisdom.” The same sentence translated into German would be 3 times longer, and in Polish 3 times less funny… Anyway, that’s why I was so glad to see this year’s collections of T-shirts by New Look – every few months a new range arrives in store, and you can find some really original pieces. I just had to buy the red one with the giraffe – it was a must ;-) Here are a few more examples from their website, and you’ll find more in every New Look store. Good hunting! And I'm back from Rome! The trip was amazing, even though right now my legs hurt all over from the dozens of kilometers we’ve walked for this past week ;-) The Italian capital is not only a city full of impressive monuments and sights, but also a place with unique atmosphere. You can wonder aimlessly for hours, explore the charming side streets and hidden piazzas, and stumble upon a major sightseeing attraction every 15 minutes without even consulting your map. And the food… incredible!
I’ll be posting more about Rome soon, but in the meantime something for those who are temporarily stranded in a much colder climate – same as me. Here is a series of scarves which not only will keep your neck warm, but also will cheer up every coat and jacket with a splash of colour. I’ve fallen in love at the first sight with the one made up entirely from pompons, even though I doubt it’ll be effective at keeping me warm ;-) The scarves are all by Accessorize, and you can find more on this website. Enjoy! It's gotten cold. And the dark, rain-heavy clouds outside the window aren't helping either. So it's no surprise that I've fallen in love with something called "Pom Pom Heart Fairisle Cuff Slipper Boots" - or, in other words, cute and warm slippers from the new Accessorize collection, the ones on the photo on the left. They're like a home-version of Uggs ;-) So, since there's plenty of long, cold and dark evenings ahead of us - so why not make them more cozy with a pair of fluffy slippers? Here are my favourites from the current Accessorize collection - enjoy! |
